🥫🏈 SOUPER BOWL WEEK IS WINDING DOWN // Wildcats in our elementary schools across the district are stepping up and showing their generosity through our Souper Bowl Food Drive, with canned goods and other non perishables being collected to support MASD food pantries.
If you’re heading to the store today and you’re able to give, consider grabbing a donation for your favorite Wildcat to drop off at their school tomorrow. Every item makes a difference. Let’s see which team comes out on top — and most importantly, let’s make a big impact together.
📸 Young Wildcats at Northside Elementary School graciously place their donations on the table and select their pick for the big game.

➕➖✖️➗ MATH IN ACTION // We popped into Northside Elementary School yesterday and found first graders busy with math—counting, problem-solving, and working alongside their classmates. Learning and growth never stop for our Wildcats.

Thank you for your patience as we work our way back to a normal school schedule.

Your long hours, teamwork, and commitment do not go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for all you do behind the scenes to keep our Wildcat community moving, no matter the weather. THANK YOU. 💜

Our Facilities Department and local municipalities did an amazing job today, as they worked tirelessly to clear roads, sidewalks, and parking lots throughout the district. Unfortunately, there are still a few trouble spots out there that we'll hopefully see cleared up tomorrow.
Stay safe, Wildcats!

💙 Please help us give a special shoutout to our in-house maintenance crews and all crews across our municipalities who are working tirelessly to keep our roads clear and safe.
Stay warm, dry, and safe, Wildcats!

If this looks even slightly familiar, consider it your sign to check the lost and found at your child’s school for anything that might be yours. Winter gear has a way of wandering off—and we’d love to see these items make it back home where they belong.
Pro tip: a quick label can help lost items find their way back next time. 💜

A special thank you to Officer Mark, our District Resource Officer, whose steady presence and genuine care help our Wildcats feel supported and safe. From morning fist bumps and catch on the playground to lunchtime check-ins and hallway conversations, these moments matter.
Thank you to all of our law enforcement partners for being an important part of the Wildcat community. Today we celebrate you. Every day we appreciate you.

🐾🎄 Our four-legged friends didn’t want to miss out on the fun, so they proudly showed off their festive flair, too.
We’re so proud of our facility dog program and the comfort, connection, and love these pups bring to our Wildcat family throughout the year.

TWO-HOUR DELAY // Due to the possibility of a refreeze, all Mechanicsburg Area School District schools will be operating on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Special shoutout to our crews at MASD and the road crews in our local municipalities and PennDOT for all of their hard work in making sure roads, parking lots, and sidewalks are passable and safe for our Wildcats!

Bundled up and full of generosity, this team worked side by side to pack and distribute holiday gifts—making the season a little brighter for families across our district. We’re so grateful for the care, compassion, and community spirit that make moments like this possible.

From exploring architectural marvels to designing their own creations, our young Wildcats are collaborating, problem-solving, and persevering with excitement and pride. Art Teacher Rachel Connell says watching students find their spark has been truly unforgettable.
A heartfelt thank you to our friends at the Wildcat Foundation for bringing these learning spaces to life through their grant program. The impact is already being felt.

Speaking at a board meeting is tough even for adults — but Charlotte, Kamiyah, Evelyn, and Audrey showed incredible poise, confidence, and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of their bravery and their excitement for learning. 📚
Way to go, Wildcats. 💜

🧦 HEY RACHEL, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF! // Today we’re celebrating Art Teacher Rachel Connell for truly going above and beyond. When we came to her with a brainstorm about switching up our annual appreciation card, she didn’t miss a beat — she jumped right in, pivoted effortlessly, and, with the help of some young Wildcats, brought the new idea to life.
Thanks to her creativity and quick thinking, we now have beautiful student artwork that perfectly captures a heartfelt message of belonging for our entire Wildcat community. 💜🐾 If you haven't already seen the card, be sure to check out this morning's post.
