Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome to Northside Elementary, a 1-3 grade level learning community. My name is Christopher Rudisill and I am honored to be the new principal at Northside Elementary.  Our focus here at Northside is making sure every student succeeds socially, emotionally and academically. Our district’s Mission Statement defines what we want for each of our students as they move through their educational journey in the Mechanicsburg Area School District:

• Resilient, self-directed learners able to achieve personal goals;
• Critical and creative thinkers capable of transferring knowledge to new situations;
• Collaborative team players with effective communication skills; and
• Productive, responsible citizens in a diverse and ever-changing global society.

Northside Elementary is the start of a child’s educational journey and to assist them in achieving these results we utilize a rigorous curriculum, maintain high expectations, and provide each child with instruction to meet their needs – while still being developmentally appropriate.

I believe student success occurs when home and school work collaboratively and form a partnership. I encourage you to be an active participant in your child’s learning and keep an open line of communication with the teacher. Talk with your child daily about their day, and if questions or concerns arise, do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teachers.  By working together, your child will experience success and develop a love for learning.
